I completed race number 11 of the year....the Jingle Bell Run here in Bloomington-Normal, IL. It was rainy and cold...pretty disgusting, really. I ended up getting 5th out of 47 in my gender/age group, and 33rd out of 468 total women, and 178th out of 861 total runners! Sweet! I am definitely satisfied with that :). It was a pretty fun race, lousy weather or not :).
AND....it was my best 5k time ever! Just over an 8 minute/mile pace. WOO HOO! :)

UGH
It's a beautiful day so I'm heading out for a run...before it turns dark.
Why didn't I do this before 5pm you ask?! Well, I've wasted a ton of the day just doing piddly crap. I've turned into a huge time waster lately...I am not sure what the heck my problem is.
OH, and lest I forget....Mr. Anonymous (who left a really awesome, sweet message after my last post....er...maybe not....sorry if you don't know what I am talking about ;). Consider yourself lucky for not having to read it! UGH!), thanks for that. I have a pretty good idea of who you are...and why don't you just go away?! Go do something constructive instead of leaving anonymous messages on someone's silly running blog.
