WELCOME! I *occasionally* write about my running/training/kitchen adventures as a way to record & learn from my disasters & triumphs...& maybe to inspire/spur someone on to explore the fun of running. We welcomed our little boy in the spring of 2016 & have been learning how to train & regain fitness post-baby {while juggling working, school, & being a mama/wife}! This is a sometimes wild ride, but I am loving every minute. Happy reading...& training!

Another setback?
"What happened?" you ask? Well, on Valentine's Day (yesterday morning), I planned to make my dear sweet hubby some blueberry streusal muffins. I was rushing around like a crazy person early in the morning so as not to be late to my first appointment...and I stubbed my toe on a kitchen chair. We have some seriously SOLID wood kitchen chairs...that are thoroughly unforgiving. I have stubbed a toe on one before...but never quite this severely.
I went about my day...and at about 4pm took the above picture. I removed my sock and shoe in my therapy room at work when I realized that it actually hurt quite a bit. I was honestly shocked, though, by what I saw!
This morning, it looked even worse...as seen below:
Good grief!
So, at work my PT friend Jamie taped it up for me :). We have no idea if it will actually help...but I am sure it gives the poor little piggie at least a lil' support! Who knows ;).
I had texted Jamie a picture of the toe this morning and she, of course, was quick to offer support. She volunteered to take a peek at it during a time today when she and I both had an open hour with no patients. Actually, she had to hunt me down later! I honestly had forgotten that she was going to take care of it for me and was just working on crap. Glad she can remember to take care of me better than I can remember to take care of myself! Thanks, Jamie!! :)
Eh, maybe I shouldn't make a mountain out of a mole hill ;). I will be FINE! :) I survived my TRX class at the gym tonight ;).
"Survived" used losely. Gosh, that class is totally humbling.
"Humility" seems to be a common theme in my life right now ;).
Oh boy.....
I have a lot to learn...in many areas of my life right now!
